Although the 80-200 AFS is a still a great lens that was ahead of it's time, we finally have a worthy replacement in the 70-200 E FL. The first two 70-200's weren't actually upgrades, but hey, Nikon has to put out something to try to separate you from your money. The decision between the two lenses is pretty simple really.
Nikon 70-200 E FL is the sharpest 70-200 in the market, for bokeh some people prefer VRII. At CP 2019 Sony loaded A9 with new firmware (release end of this month for a9, next month for a7) + 70-200 GM 2.8 to show off their new AF capability. Then I decided against it with D850+70-200 E FL.
